At Darden, it is no secret that we work hard and we play hard.
And at times, we even play for a good cause.
On Friday, October 23rd, the BBSF hosted the 2nd annual “Darden for the Cure” party (aka the Pink Party) to raise awareness (and funds) for breast cancer. Proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen foundation and all attendees are asked to wear pink. A good time was had by all…
…including my roommate and president of BBSF whose birthday was that same day. So, her loyal fan club banded together, made t-shirts, and surprised her royally at the party. Who knew I’d come to school for an MBA and come out w/a certificate in Arts & Crafts! More fun…
…the following week with our annual Halloween party. Pure comedy. The genius some people display with their costumes…
- get a critical mass of grown men to wear pink
- have future, enterprising women leaders spend an hour ironing letters on a t-shirt
- have a grown man dress as a bumble bee (not the Transformer) and
- spend countless hours making a Buzz Lightyear-esque costume…
