Today was our Leading Organizations (LO) exam.
And today was a good day (she says now…wait until she gets her exam back).
The day started with me attending a DCF breakfast devotional.
Then, I sat in Cafe 67 for a bit and just chatted w/friends.
And this is where I will digress (Me? Digress?? No way!)
At the beginning of the school year, a few second years said “exam time is the best time here at Darden.” I thought they were suffering from “second year delusion” because there was no way that made sense to me. At the time, I was so anxious about taking exams, I couldn’t understand what the heck they were talking about.
Now I do.
Exam time is pretty awesome. It’s the one time where you have more flexibility over your schedule. Exams are ready for pick-up at 8 am. They have to be turned in by 3 pm. You have 5 contiguous hours (for most) to complete the exam. And, we are on the honor system so exams are take home (or take anywhere). Given all of those variables, exam time is pretty darn cool. You don’t have to be on-grounds for an 8 am class (heck, if you are a rock star, you can sleep in late and start your exam at 10am!). You’re not concerned with prepping three cases for classes the next day. You’re just concerned about that next day’s test. No club meetings, no company briefings, nothing. Pretty sweet.
So…
This morning, I ate breakfast and chopped it up w/some of my classmates. We cracked jokes and sipped coffee until we thought it was time we get started. Now, admittedly, the light mood was probably due to the subject matter–LO. Let’s see if we’re shooting the breeze and cracking jokes the morning of our Decision Analysis exam. I doubt it…
Are you a betting person?

I have actually managed to work out 5 days this week! I think that’s a record for Darden. 😉

Darn…now I feel bad…because I didn’t even THINK about going to the gym in all of our new found “free time”. 🙂 Glad to hear you were able to get some gym time in!
