…Chef Jacqueline .
(said in your best French accent)
Less than an hour ago, I was in the Employee Dining Room (EDR) in my very own chef’s jacket! I know, I know: people would pay money to see me in a chef’s jacket (hey, no comments from the peanut gallery!). But it’s true. I looked official…just like a cook.
For an entire hour.
Serving ice-cream and water ice.
Fine, I wasn’t cooking, but I still felt all official and stuff.
As part of a celebration to honor all employees, management spent the day serving in the EDR. It was a “thank you” to the entire property for achieving extraordinary service scores; a ton of fun.
And…
It reminded me of what I already know: I’m happiest around people. I’m happiest when I get to smile for a living. And I’m happiest when I’m serving.
(Sidenote: as part of the celebration, employees were also allowed to wear jeans and their favorite sports jerseys. The proliferation of Phillies fans coming in and out of the EDR was unbelievable! I think I want a Phillies jersey now…just ‘cause…)

If you get a Phillies jersey, Berlinger may think marriage. 😛 There again, if you have Weiss, a Phillies jersey is the way to go! Sure way to reduce your chances of a cold call.

Hi
I found your blog through Google search and I noticed that you are/were a MBA student too. My classmates and I recently launched a website (www.mbaNERDs.com) providing free case summary and discussion area for MBA students. In this way, people can better prepare their case study before the class and network with other talents around the world.
Please feel free to take a look and let us know how you feel so that we can improve our services. If you like our idea, please also tell your friends who are still in MBA program. I believe this would be a great help to them! Thank you so much!
Best Regards,
Allen
