Continuing on the theme of improbable journey (see previous post)…
Who knew that I’d be engaged to be married less than two months after graduation??
Now, if you let rowdy, opinionated, rambunctious family members and friends tell the story (in the middle of speeches and toasts at rehearsal dinners/wedding receptions no less), apparently they ALL knew and they were waiting for ME to get the memo. Somehow, they figured out a long time ago that I would someday marry the man who is now my husband. Hmph. Eeeeeee-vrybody is a Monday morning quarterback. Not impressed, people. 🙂
Just kidding.
Our story is, well…just that…a story. Think “Ross and Rachel”, meets…ummm…”restless-overachiever-crazy-Brooklyn girl”, meets “everything-is-all-about-timing” and you’ll get a fraction of our story. The rest? See our wedding website. Or the book.
For now, suffice it to say that April 9, 2011 was a day of love, celebration, and new beginnings. Oh yeah, and it was a kick-ass party (yeah…did I mention I’m from Brooklyn?).
Most importantly, it was the day that I married my best friend.
