Today was exam 3 of 5: Operations.
I took my first two exams on grounds in the library (I didn’t enter the lottery for learning team rooms and I assume the classrooms they make available for us will also contain other students–my easily-distracted self needs little…well..distractions).
I decided to switch it up today (check me out–I live on the WILD SIDE here in Cville!)…
I took my exam at home.
The up-side of that:
- I didn’t have to do my hair…which is no small chore these days! (Gosh, I miss my stylist; shout-out to Walter, at Joseph’s in NYC).
- I could talk to myself out loud (well, that’s a normal occurrence…but at least in the privacy of my own home I’m not worried about someone trying to have me committed)
- I could snack all day (most of my boyfriends have decided they’d rather clothe me than feed me)
The down-side:
- If you don’t pay attention, you can forget to factor in the time needed to drive to campus to drop off the exam (which has to be in by 3 pm; late exams are deducted one letter grade)!!
And that was me today. By the time I finished printing and organizing my exam, I had 25 minutes to get it to the library. Imagine me running through my house, still looking dishevelled (hair undone, ugly sweatpants, un-matching socks–a regular Miss America), trying to find a stapler, a paper clip, a something. It was quite comical to me, if I may say so myself.
I hurried to school (doing the speed limit of course–Cville is notorious for traffic cops…I saw TWO folks getting traffic violations on the way to grounds!) and successfully submitted the exam with about 10 minutes to spare. Whew…that was close.
Not as close as some other students, though.
I literally saw about two people sprinting to the library to submit their exams. I think it’s a funny scene, if you ask me. Here it is, you have accomplished, 20-30 something year old professionals, making mad dashes for the library…like the well-trained thoroughbreds we are.
Came to school to get an MBA, will leave with a 4.8 40 yd dash–who knew?

LMAO! It’s so true!! Luckily I started my exam relatively “early” today. My printer ran out of ink and though I know I have another cartridge, I’m still confused as to if it’s in C’ville or San Fran. Not really sure why I would have left it on the West Coast. I miss the days when I had tons of drawers, at least there would be a chance that it is around here “somewhere”. 😉

Hilarious. And I did it again today! I’m asking for trouble…esp since my printer is saying it’s out of ink…but it keeps printing. 😮

Gosh this was funny! I’ve never stayed here at school long enough to see the 3p deadline, but I was here today – I had printer problems so I only submitted mine with 10 mins to spare… and there there was this whole contingent of Asian students who came sprinting down from the faculty bldg side, paper in hand. I couldn’t decide if I was more anxious for them or amused at the sight…
