All is well with the world again.
We had a blast in all of our end of Q1 celebrations last week.
Yes, a far cry from my last blog post (after my final final exam–pun intended).
After retreating to the hair salon (and nail salon…and…ummm…Banana Republic), I got over myself and joined my schoolmates at the famed “Moustache Competition.” Too much to write now but suffice it to say it was a bunch of dudes…and well…moustaches. *smile* Following the official judging (of who had the best mustache/beard presentation), we eventually migrated over to Three.
And guess what we found??
Karaoke!!
It only took me 3 months to stumble on karaoke here (my fault–I actually have the schedule of every karaoke night, six days a week–just never made time to attend)…
So imagine the sheer glee!
I made a bee-line for the DJ and requested a song…or two…or three. See below for just a few pics from karaoke night. Aaahhhh…all is well with the world again. That was Wednesday.
Thursday, we went out to watch one of our classmates (and my section mate) perform. He’s in a band–and they were pretty awesome! I have pics from that too, but…not sure if I’d have to pay copyright or licensing fees or royalties or something to display…so I’ll refrain. :p
Friday…Friday was the famed 100 Case Party.
80’s theme.
The costumes were so over the top–words can’t adequately describe.
It was a ball–I don’t think I stopped dancing or singing the entire night (which would explain the lack of voice the next day).
Fun times, people, fun times.
Moustache competition, karaoke, live band, 80’s party…all in the span of 3 days.
And all what I needed to restore balance and normalcy (if you call a grown man in spandex, a mid-drift top, and tiny running shorts normal–picture not included to protect the identity of the innocent).
Now we’re about to start Q2…let the show continue.
