…not of election night…yet, anyway!
But of the Business Concept Competition.
Competing in the finals of the Darden Business Concept Competition was an awesome experience. It was great to get feedback and reactions to my presentation and to my idea. I had fun presenting (though preparing for the presentation wasn’t fun–it was down to the wire for me!). And it was exciting to hear people respond (positively) to my concept. At the end of the day, the judges had questions about my target market–which was Charlottesville. Their questions/concerns were around size and fit–was Charlottesville big enough to support the concept (as is)? I had a great one-on-one session with the judges and received real-time feedback and things to consider moving forward. A great opportunity!
One of the greatest things that the competition revealed: I go to school with some really sharp people!! As if I didn’t already know that, it was certainly underscored on Friday. Everyone had great concepts (hence why we made it to the finals, I suppose. *smile*). What’s more, everyone had great presentations. So, we’re not just book smart here, we’re polished, poised, and great presenters. I love the company I keep!
