‘Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the house, not a creature was settled, except the resident mouse.
Ok–there’s no resident mouse (I think?) but it is the night before Thanksgiving and no one in this house is settled. Why, might you ask?
Let’s start with the obvious: it has been three months since my last post because…major transition. Yes, another one. Since, you know… that’s what I do.
In mid-August, I packed up my brood and migrated north of the DMV…back to good ‘ole South Jersey–where it all started. And by “it”, I mean my gaming career. Which makes this transition–though disruptive–a particularly sweet one.
After 10 years, six roles, and three relocations, I’ve returned to Atlantic City to assume the position of General Manager at one of our three properties in the region. I am beyond thrilled about becoming a GM. And, I could not be more excited to lead a property in the market that birthed and nurtured my career in the gaming & hospitality industry.
Atlantic City, named Top 3 Fall Travel Destination by Trip Advisor, was always in my backyard as a native New Yorker. So not only is AC close to home (literally and figuratively), Atlantic City provides an opportunity for me to invest in the region personally, professionally, and civically in a way that holds particular significance.
So, friends, it has been a busy few months indeed. Moving. Starting a new job. Starting a new school (Ryan). Looking for a new home (unsuccessfully–see “not settled” above). Navigating new dynamics. All during a pandemic.
Though a bit scattered, with the above and below, you’re now caught up. Next, we’ll talk more about the realities of it all. Never easy. Always worth it.
Grateful. Happy Thanksgiving.
