So, that toothache?
Turned out to be an infected wisdom tooth.
In the middle of finals week. Three days before I was scheduled to leave the country for the Barcelona GBE.
Doc said I couldn’t travel w/o having the wisdom tooth extracted. So, what’s a girl to do?
K.I.M. Keep It Moving.
Thursday morning, I had my two right wisdom teeth extracted (“Only two?” you ask? Doc’s quote: “come back and get the other two done when you graduate and are making a gazillion dollars”). As petrified as I was about it beforehand, it turned out ok. I survived. Two really great friends came over and helped me out afterwards; they were my angels (thanks TM and JM)! Others also dropped by/checked in to make sure I was ok. It was touching to see my classmates genuinely concerned about my recovery.
Friday morning I took the final I was supposed to take Thursday. Friday afternoon I was on the road to Dulles to catch my flight to Barcelona.
And here I am.
It’s almost 3 am here; only 9 pm back home. No wonder I’m not sleepy. I have to meet my classmates in the morning by 11 am for the first day of our week-long GBE (GBE? Check it out here.). Oh, to be jetlagged.
But, Q3 is done. Wisdom teeth are removed (two, anyway). I’m in a beautiful city. All is well.
More to come. In the meantime, K.I.M…

I’m glad to know ur ok after te tooth incident. Barcelona GBE is going to be great. I was there last year. Don’t stay in your hotel at out. take the opportunity to head down, explore and party every night. You’ll have a great time.
Jackie, glad to hear you’re feeling better.. enjoy Barcelona!
I didn't even realize. Look at you lady, just moving along! <3
